Get Rid of Dandruff Fast!!
























Hey girl!

We have all been there where we go to brush our hair before a date, big event or just before work and what do see, dandruff! Ugg it's the worst, so we hope on google first thing and try all the at home remedies that are recommended like apple cider vinegar that smells awful and the rest of the day you smell like apple cider vinegar and your dandruff is still there, so now you have two problems, just great. I hear ya girl loud and clear, which is why I put together a list of things that can be causing dandruff as well as my favorite products that ACTUALLY WORK!!


#1- Find the reason why


There are multiple things that can cause us to have dandruff. Contrary to popular belief people that have dandruff don't have it because they are not clean and don't wash their hair, sometimes it's because they wash their hair too much.


Reason #1- Washing your hair to much or not enough.


The average person should be washing their hair every 3-4 days (some people can go longer but this can cause their hair to get oily, or to dry out) The reason you need to not wash your hair every day or even every other day is because it needs time for the natural oils to work into the skin and the hair. This is sometimes a reason why your hair is drying out and you have dandruff.






















Reason #2- Not washing your hair the right way.


Wait there is a right and wrong way to wash your hair? Yeah, there actually is. Washing your hair properly can help avoid problems such as dandruff and oily scalp. You should be washing your scalp with shampoo only! Yep keep that conditioner off and away from your scalp. If you use conditioner on your scalp you are not allowing it to product the natural oils that it needs to therefor your skin stops producing oils and causes it to dry out. Conditioner should only be placed on the ends of your hair as the oils usually don't get from your scalp all the way to the ends in the 3-4 days between washes.


If your hair is super dry all over try using a deep conditioner once a week or every other week. This is okay to have on your scalp because it is less often then when you wash your hair. You can also try using a moisturizing or hydrating shampoo this will give it not only a clean feeling but hydrate it just enough to allow it to still produce the natural oils it needs.























Reason #3- Product build up on your scalp.


Product can easily get build up on our scalps and sit there for days, weeks and even months, it is best to use a product such as a clarifying shampoo once a month to get rid of all the build up. The cause of build up can be linked to the conditioner you're using, hair spray, hair products and daily pollution build up.
























#2- Get the solution


Now that you know the causes of dandruff you can be easily prepared to combat each of them!


1-Wash your hair at the right time


This is important to adjust your hair washing schedule from daily or every other day to 3-4 times a week. You may notice that it'll take around 2 weeks for your scalp to balance out and finally allow you to not have oily scalp or dry scalp. Our skin needs about 2 weeks to adjust to any new hair or skin routine.


2- Wash your hair the right way


Wash your hair with just shampoo on the scalp and just conditioner on the ends. This will allow your scalp to produce its natural oils instead of having the conditioner give all the oils to the scalp.


3-Use a clarifying shampoo


By using a clarifying shampoo once a month you can get rid of all the product and natural build up on the scalp. Also remember when you are using this product to only use it on the scalp where the build up is and avoid the ends as this is typically a product that tends to dry out the hair.
























#3- Use the right product


1- When you have dandruff the best thing you can do for your scalp is allow it to balance back out. This requires you to use a medicated shampoo usually at every wash at the beginning once it is balanced back out move to every other wash or once a week to maintain a healthy balance. 2- Make sure you use shampoo only on your scalp. If you live in a dry climate, you color you hair frequently or you are prone to dry hair make sure you use a moisturizing or hydrating shampoo to keep moisture on the hair closest to your head without causing it to dry out. 3-Make sure you get rid of buildup once a month. This will help keep your scalp extra clean from buildup. Think of it as deep cleaning your house but for your scalp, that's why I would recommend using it just once a month instead of weekly or daily.
